Here is a recipe from Taste of Home on how to make lemon bars. I re-wrote the recipe the way I like to follow it.

Lemon Bar Crust Ingredients:
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 cup softened butter
- 1/4 cup confectioners’ sugar
Lemon Bar Filling Ingredients:
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 TBS flour
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- Juice of a whole lemon (or 2 TBS, whatever is more)
- Zest of a whole lemon
- Confectioners’ sugar for sprinkling
Lemon Bar Recipe:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
- In a bowl, combine 1 cup flour and 1/4 cup confectioners’ sugar
- Dice up the 1/2 cup softened butter and rug the butter into the mixture until crumbs form
- Pat into an un-greased pan
- Bake at 350 degrees F for 20 mins
- While that bakes, get started on the filling
- Beat 2 eggs in a bowl
- Then add 1 cup sugar, 2 TBS flour, 1/4 tsp baking soda, juice of one lemon, and zest of one lemon and beat until frothy
- Pour over crust and bake at 350 degrees F for another 25 mins, or until light golden brown (shouldn’t wobble too much)
- Once cool, dust with confectioners’ sugar
