promise: A Poem

find me where the angel stands
 and the crow sings
 and the raven waits
I can show you a world of sin
 a world of pleasure
 a world of love
all you need to give me
 is you

fallen angel: A Poem

 you’re my angel
 he told me
 but angels don’t give in
angels don’t have human hearts to share
 or human souls to mate
 I told him
 meet me in the garden
 between the bleeding hearts
and tell me all your secrets
 show me all your scars
 find me in the garden
 where I’ll be waiting naked
 for I have fallen deeply
 bleeding just for you

meditation: A Poem

 I’ll close my eyes
until I bleed out roots of light
 and sink into the earth
 and fall asleep

white rabbit: A Poem

 flick flick
 flack flack
 feather feather
 red muck
 blood fur
 mind mop
 wash clean
 flip flop
 I am the thing with
 led on my feet
 watch me
 fly
 watch me
 drown

 flick flick
 flack flack
 dumb teen
 wrung wet
 I am the thing with
 led on my feet
 watch me
 claw
 watch me
 drown

 watch me
 watch me
 watch me
 drown

 watch me
 watch me
 watch me
 drown

nectar: A Poem

nectar of a nectarine so sweet
like sweat and warmth of breath
 that I crave
 the sickly sweet and sour
 punch-drunk flower
 bright pink and red
 worn and stained
take a taste of this punch-drunk flower
 and peaches
 a pair of peaches
 until this cup spills
 overflowing
the nectar of so sweet a flower

my thoughts: A Poem

 my thoughts are not bad
just because you don’t like them
and your god doesn’t like them
 my god
 likes me enough
 just fine
 just the way I am
 who are
 you
 to tell me differently?

houseplant: A Poem

sometimes I get sad
and forget to drink water
and then I feel dead
like an abandoned houseplant

Erotic: A Poem

I can taste your skin
just by looking at you.
The texture is flat
and smooth
against my tongue.
Your lips on my skin
pull the string
below my bellybutton
tighter.
Your breath invades me
and everything is hot.
Drink me in
and let me drown.
